Shivathandavam

The panel shows shiva engaged in his cosmic dance called pradosha nritham or ananda thandavam.appears to be white-skinned figure with 4 hands —2 on each side — holding different weapons. He is surrounded by a prabhavali circle. On his feet is the apasmara bhootha who is lying curved over the prabhavalayam. Above the apasmara bhootham’s head is the figure of Bhringi, the dance master with three hands. There is Veerabhadra enjoying the dance at the topmost corner. His form is fierce. At the top of the panel next to Veerabhadra is Vishnu standing with Indra. Ganesha and Subhramaniyan are also present, upon their respective mounts. To the bottom rightcorner is green-skinned Parvathy on top of Nandi. There is a green-skinned woman, perhaps Kali. Brahmav stands on the upper right corner of the panel. There is also a sage and other bhoothaganas present.
