Shiva and Parvati are sitting atop a throne, which is placed upon a pedestal. The pedestal is decorated with jewels and is ornately carved. Shiva sits on the throne with Parvati in his lap. He has four arms and three eyes. He is wearing a green-colored dhoti. Out of his four arms, his upper right hand holds the axe, his upper left hand holds the deer, his lower right hand is in abhaya mudra. His lower left hand goes around Parvati and touches the nipple of her left breast. Parvati's right hand falls across Shiva's right shoulder. Her left hand holds a green-colored lotus flower. There are several attendant figures in the image. There is Narada holding a veena with a long white beard. Beside Narada, there is a bhutagana who is holding his hands in an anjali mudra. He has a serpent across his hips like a belt. He is wearing a red dhoti. There is also Ganapathi sitting upon a mouse, his mount. Beside Parvati, there is Subramanya sitting on his mount, the peacock. Below the panel, there is a huge Nandi. He is white-skinned and appears to be licking himself. Below Ganapathi, there are four sages who are completely nude, holding their hands in anjali mudra, with three of them raising the hands above their heads. The fourth sage is holding the anjali mudra near his chest. There are several female figures also part of the painting. Three of them are holding up venjamaram. Two of them are holding a alavattam. There are also at least two bhutaganas in the image. Behind them is a large blooming tree with different birds seated upon it, along with animals like the squirrel.

This scene shows the balance between masculine and feminine energy. Shiva and Parvati are the central figures, and are surrounded by their children Ganapathi and Subrahmanya. This is a common depiction found in Kerala mural paintings. Nandi is at the feet of the Gods. They are surrounded by Bhoothaganas.
