Shivaparivaram

Shivakudamba or Shiva Parivara is depicted in the scene. There is Shiva at the center. To his left is Parvati. Beside Parvati, there is Muruga sitting with a spear in his hand. To the right of Shiva is Ganapati. They are seated on an ornately carved throne with lion motifs. There is Nandi at their feet. There are several members of Shiva's army or Bhoothaganas in the background.

Shiva with three eyes, four arms, wearing a yellow dhoti and a tiger skin cloth over it. He is holding a trishula in his upper hand and an axe in his other hand. His one hand is holding on to Parvati and the other hand is holding, is hanging across the shoulder of Ganapati. He wears rudraksha and a garland of flowers. Ganapati is wearing a bluish dhoti with a yellow border. He has the head of an elephant. He has a modaka sweet in one hand and his broken tusk in another. His other two hands are not much visible. Parvati sits to the left of Shiva. She is wearing a bluish saree with golden border. She is wearing a lot of jewelry. She is sitting with one palm on top of the other. Beside her is Subramanya, wearing a yellow dhoti. He is also wearing a crown. He has his spear or vel in his hand. Behind them is several members of the Bhootagana or Shiva's army. At the feet of Shiva is Nandi, the bull. The throne is ornately carved in the shape of a lion.

Shiva's family or Shiva parivaram consists of Shiva, his wife Parvati and his sons Ganapathi and Subramanyan. In usual depictions of Shiva Parivara, Nandi, his mount is also present, along with several of his bhoothaganas.
