Girijakalyanam

Yellow-skinned Parvathy all decked up in bridal glory holds a wedding garland in her hands. She is about to marry Shiva and is accompanied by a group of sages, Devas and bhootaganas.She wears a lot of jewellery including anklets, bangles, armlets, necklaces, earrings and a crown. Her face is beautiful and seems to be blushing with shyness. She wears a green-coloured lower garment and a golden breast-cloth. A sage stands behind her, his hands folded in anjali mudra. He wears a string of rudraksha in either of his wrists. He also has a beard and mustache. Mashipoov motif is drawn on the background.

This panel mirrors that found in Mattancherry palace. Parvati went on a penance to marry Shiva and Shiva finally agreed to the marriage. Being the daughter of Himavan, she was married off to Shiva in the presence of her parents, sages, Devas and bhootaganas.
