Vishnu sitting with Sridevi and Bhudevi atop Anantha

Iconographic Attributes: Vishnu is seated on top of Anantha. The five hoods of Anantha are visible above his head, wearing yellow dhoti and a bluish uttareeya, holding shankha, chakra, gada and padma in his hands, in his forearms. Towards his left and right are Sridevi and Bhudevi, both wearing identical saris with golden borders and blue blouses. They have long flowing hair and a crown on their head. One of their hands is resting on their hips.

Mythological Tale: Vishnu is said to be one of the three Supreme Gods. He is in charge of sthithi or maintaining equilibrium in the world. He is believed to be residing in the ocean Palazhi where he floats atop the serpent Ananthan. He is said to have two consorts: Sreedevi and Bhoodevi.
